South Penquite Farm

Our LPG filling point.

LPG
"...a cleaner alternative..."

Diesel and petrol engine pollution is a problem for everyone and it is a problem that continues to get worse. In many cities around the world, drivers are only allowed to use their vehicles on alternate days. In the UK, heavy smog and poor air quality is leading to deepening health concerns. Consequently, calls from environmental groups and the public to curb emissions continue to increase

At South Penquite all of our guest and visitors can fill up their environmnetally friendly LPG vehicles using our on-farm CALOR Autogas filling point

  • In cold start conditions LPG emits half as much carbon monoxide as petrol because it evaporates more easily
  • LPG Nitrogen Dioxide emissions are 80% less than diesel
  • LPG particulates (PM10's) emissions are 99% less than diesel
  • Non regulated emissions which contribute to smog, acidification and global warming are also lower in LPG emissions

We have been using autogas at South Penquite since 1999 and currently our Campervan, quad bike, the family Previa and granny's Peugeot are converted. We have a bulk tank and so we can supply campers and visitors to the farm
