Cool Camping "...a tap and a loo, and Cornwall's best view..."
This might have been a good description of us when we started way back in 1999. But whilst the fantastic view hasn't changed (and we still have the taps and the loos!), we have over the years added many facilities, while keeping the site small, friendly and in tune with the local environment
- Smart pine-clad toliet block - with hot and cold water to all sinks
- Veranda-fronted shower block which delivers solar heated rainwater into cubicles lined with sheets of recycled plastic bottles and yoghurt pots - free of charge and each the four showers is located in its own family-sized room
- Laundry with washing machine, tumble dryer (both coin operated), fridge, freezer (for your ice packs), secure lockers with plugs for recharging your mobile phones & a hairdryer
- Four washing up sinks - all with hot water
- A kiddies play area with swings and a goal - all made from reclaimed timber and telegraph poles
Unlike most camping in Cornwall, there are no marked pitches and we limit the number of people on site so that there is plenty of room for everybody to stretch out. We also sell home produced lamb burgers and sausages, as well as bags of wood so that you may experience the ultimate in cool camping - a campfire!
At the farmhouse we sell logs and kindling as well as our famous minted lamb burgers and mutton sausages - otherwise there is an excellent village shop in walking distance that will cater to all of your other needs including internet access and a small cafe

Dogs
Because we are a working sheep farm and because of our close proximity to the open moors we cannot accept dogs however small or well behaved. However next door to South Penquite is an excellent boarding kennels which would then give you the freedom to explore Cornwall while keeping in daily contact with your pet
Penquite Petcare can be contacted on 01208 850360 please book well in advance - these kennels are extremely popular
